into my new italian website all dedicated to "The Rose of
Versailles" (original title "Berusaiyu no Bara", from which
"Berubara"). "The Rose of Versailles" is a mostly famous
japanese manga, drawn by
Riyoko Ikeda in 1972 and it can be
considered as one the most beautiful manga ever released in
all the history of japanese comics. The story of "The Rose
of Versailles" was exported to Europe with the title "Lady
Oscar", starting from '80s years...

This website is italian (but for this page) and it was born
to offer informations and support to collectors of "The Rose
of Versailles" and to all the admirers of Mrs.
Riyoko Ikeda:
in fact, even if this Author is famous all around the world,
the informations about her and her works are quite always
short and not precise, outside of Japan.

Well, here you can find an updated
biography of the Author,
informations about the Berubara
original comics and about all versions of Lady Oscar who came after
them: the Berubara Grand Romance by the Takarazuka Revue,

Since i am a collector of Berubara goods, i also tried to
offer a guide to Berubara
editions and
merchandising, offering a catalogue of all objects, books, videos, etc...
all they are taken from private collection with
respect of
the original trademarks. |

This website is non-official: at present time
there is not any official Lady Oscar website outside Japan;
I need to be clear in telling that all goods are shown here
without any sort of commercial purpose but only for my
pleasure, in order to offer a tribute to my favourite title,
Berusaiyu no Bara by Riyoko Ikeda, and at the same time, in order to offer a
comprehensive guide to all collectors like me, above all to
people who are not able to read japanese so that they cannot
find these informations by themselves, on japanese websites.

Berubara goods are almost rare to
find in Europe: i have purchased them in Japan or by online
auctions. Actually there aren't official stores outside of Japan
for Berubara goods and some japanese stores are not able to
ship abroad as well. So please, if you can collect some
Berubara pieces (books or goods made in your Country) and you
are not afraid in sending them to a friend in Italy, please
contact me and i can change with italian merchandise or
elseway! To
English people i say: English editions of the Berubara manga
are rarest to find: if you know about any edition and it is
not yet listed here, please share your informations with me,
